Bangladesh's new achievement in the wheel of economy

Times are changing, and so is the wheel of our development. One of our achievements in our development is the 2nd place in South Asia's GDP update. In this case, we have left the Maldives behind, this update shows that our GDP growth has reached 2% to 3.6%. At the same time, our neighboring country India will grow at 7.2% and Pakistan's GDP will grow at 1.3%. The improved WB GDP growth forecast for the current fiscal year is still lower than the government's target of 6.1 per cent, which is close to the Asian Development Bank's 5.5-6 per cent forecast.

However, gradually the infection of Covid-19 will bring us in front of new obstacles, which we have to deal with ourselves. Since then, Bangladesh's economy has been forecast to grow 5.1 percent in the next fiscal year, which begins in July - up 1.7 percentage points from its forecast in early January, but less than the government's target. However, the World Bank has given a message of hope, they say, in FY 2022-23, Bangladesh's GDP will grow to 6.2% and then we will be at the top, leaving India and the Maldives behind. David Malpas, group president of the World Bank, agreed with that words.
