Dhaka-Tokyo Friendship
Following the recent diplomatic disaster , it is hard for Bangladesh to work with both Rohingya Crisis and Covid19 pandemic. In this hard time, Japan come forward to help us and proposed us to work together regarding the situation. The consensus was reached when Japanese Ambassador Ito Naoki called on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam MP at his office on Tuesday. According to the statement of foreign ministry , both of them discussed about the bilateral relations and issues of common concerns.The two sides agreed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic ties in 2022 in a befitting manner. The arrival of Rohingya made the the international community a conducive environment.
So Shahriar Alam urged the Japanese Ambassy to use their influence to make a safe return for those. Shahriar Alam hoped that the Bay of Bengal Industrial Growth Belt (Big-B) Initiative of Japan would accelerate cooperation for development of quality infrastructure and create more investment opportunities in Bangladesh. Also it will help us to grow the powerful regional connectivity. The Japanese side also expressed the interest of working together in climate change discourse.
